Most clients enjoy smooth results for about three to six weeks, depending on personal hair growth cycles and care. Regular waxing can extend time between appointments by promoting finer, sparser regrowth.
Waxing can cause temporary redness but is generally safe for sensitive skin when performed by trained technicians using suitable wax and pre/post-care. We recommend patch tests and soothing products to reduce irritation and inflammation.
Avoid exfoliating or using retinoids 48 hours before your appointment; hair should be about a quarter inch long. Clean, dry skin helps the wax adhere and reduces discomfort for an efficient, effective treatment.
Aftercare includes avoiding hot baths, saunas, and heavy exercise for 24 hours, applying fragrance-free moisturizer, and exfoliating gently after 48 hours to prevent ingrown hairs, and wearing loose footwear or gloves if needed to reduce friction.
We usually recommend waiting at least 24 hours before a manicure or pedicure to avoid irritation or infection. If medical-grade, sterile tools are used and skin feels calm, technicians may proceed sooner at their discretion.
Contraindications include active skin infections, recent sunburn, open wounds, or certain medications like strong retinoids and blood thinners. Disclose medical history during booking so our clinicians can advise alternatives or patch tests for safe treatment.
