Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Top & Bottom Liner.

Most clients enjoy 1–3 years of crisp liner depending on skin type, oils, sun exposure, and pigment choice. We recommend touch-ups every 12–24 months to maintain color vibrancy and definition.

We apply topical anesthetic before and during the procedure to minimize discomfort. Most clients describe light pressure or tingling rather than pain. Mild tenderness and sensitivity around the eyes may last a few days.

Initial color appears darker and slightly bold; expect mild swelling and scabbing for about 5–10 days. Avoid makeup, rubbing, and water on the area while it heals. Final pigment settles over 4–6 weeks.

Ideal candidates want low-maintenance, defined eyes and are in good general health. Not recommended for those with active eye infections, recent eye surgery, uncontrolled autoimmune conditions, or current isotretinoin use.

Avoid blood-thinning medications, alcohol, aspirin, and supplements like fish oil for 48–72 hours before your appointment. Remove contact lenses, avoid lash treatments, and arrive with clean, makeup-free eyes.

Top & Bottom Liner deposits pigment into the lash line for lasting definition, while traditional eyeliner sits on the skin and must be reapplied. Permanent liner is smudge-resistant and delivers consistent, low-maintenance results.
