Get answers to common questions about Signature Shellac Pedicure.

A shellac finish typically lasts two to three weeks with proper care. We use durable UV-cured polish that resists chipping. Longevity depends on activity level, nail growth, and following aftercare advice like avoiding harsh chemicals and moisturizing cuticles.

Shellac is safe for natural nails when applied and removed by trained technicians using proper soak-off methods. Avoid service if you have active nail infections or fungal issues. We assess nail health before treatment and recommend alternatives or medical referral if needed.

Arrive with clean, polish-free feet and any relevant medical information. Avoid shaving immediately before your appointment to prevent irritation. Bring color inspiration if desired and wear open-toe shoes to protect the fresh shellac. Plan around activities that might stress new nails.

We evaluate foot and nail conditions prior to service. Some skin issues, like open wounds, contagious fungal infections, or severe dermatitis, are contraindications. In those cases we’ll recommend medical treatment or postpone the pedicure to protect your health and prevent spread.

Because shellac is cured under an LED/UV lamp, the polish is fully dry immediately after service. We still recommend allowing a few minutes and wearing loose, open-toe shoes initially to avoid pressure or scuffing, especially if toenails were trimmed or sculpted.

We remove shellac with professional soak-off techniques using acetone, gentle filing, and careful cuticle protection. Technicians avoid peeling to prevent nail damage. Proper removal preserves nail health; follow-up hydration and cuticle oil are applied to restore moisture.
