Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Fractional Decollete.

Fractional decollete uses a targeted laser to create microscopic columns of controlled injury in chest skin. These microchannels remove damaged tissue and stimulate collagen remodeling, reducing sun damage, improving texture and tightening skin with progressive improvements after healing.

Most clients benefit from three treatments spaced four to six weeks apart; however severity of sun damage or laxity may require individualized plans. Your provider at Elva will assess skin and recommend a customized regimen and maintenance schedule.

Topical numbing and cooling make the procedure tolerable; you may feel warmth, stinging or prickling during treatment. Expect redness, swelling, and mild peeling for three to seven days, with most people returning to normal activities within a few days.

Ideal candidates have sun-damaged, crepey or uneven chest skin and seek non-surgical rejuvenation. Not suitable for active infections, recent tanning, or pregnancy. A consultation evaluates medical history, skin type, and realistic expectations.

Avoid sun exposure and tanning for several weeks, stop retinoids and exfoliants as instructed, and disclose medications or treatments. Arrive with clean skin; we’ll apply numbing cream if desired. Follow pre-care instructions provided during your consultation.

You’ll notice gradual improvements in tone, texture, and firmness over weeks to months. Aftercare includes gentle cleansing, moisturizing, strict daily sunscreen, and avoiding heat or vigorous exercise for several days. Follow-up visits monitor progress and schedule maintenance.
