Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Laser Patch Test & Consultation.

Your clinician will review medical history, examine the area, and perform a small laser patch on shaved or cleansed skin to assess reaction. The session includes discussion of goals, risks, and personalized treatment recommendations.

Arrive with clean skin, shaved if testing for hair removal, or freshly cleansed for facial/body areas. Avoid topical retinoids, recent tanning, and blood-thinning medications unless cleared by your provider.

Most clients feel minimal discomfort during the patch test — a quick, localized sensation. We use appropriate settings and cooling measures; your comfort is prioritized and discussed before testing.

Plan for about 20 to 45 minutes for consultation and patch testing. Additional time may be needed to review medical history, consent, and post-test care instructions.

Immediate responses are reviewed in-clinic, and delayed reactions can appear within 24 to 72 hours. We schedule follow-up or proceed with treatment based on tolerance and findings.

Active infections, recent tanning, certain medications (like isotretinoin), pregnancy, or specific skin conditions may contraindicate testing. Disclose all medications and health history during your consultation.
