Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Vermaderm IR Skin Tightening Technology - Small Area.

Most clients benefit from a series of 3–6 treatments spaced three to six weeks apart. Small-area protocols often show visible tightening after the first session, with progressive improvement over two to three months as collagen contracts and remodels.

Treatments are generally comfortable. The sapphire cooling interface protects the skin, and patients typically feel a warm, deep heating sensation rather than pain. Topical numbing can be used for sensitive skin if needed to enhance comfort.

You may notice immediate mild tightening, but the most significant results appear gradually as new collagen forms. Expect visible improvement within 4–12 weeks, with continued refinement for up to six months after completing the treatment series.

Side effects are usually mild and temporary: redness, warmth, slight swelling, or tenderness can occur and resolve within hours to days. Serious complications are rare when performed by trained providers; follow aftercare instructions to minimize risks.

Ideal candidates have mild to moderate skin laxity in small areas and realistic expectations. Good overall health, no active skin infections, and avoidance of recent tanning or aggressive procedures are recommended. A consultation determines suitability and plan.

Prepare by avoiding sun exposure, tanning beds, and topical retinoids for at least one week. Discontinue NSAIDs or blood-thinning supplements only as directed by your provider. Arrive with clean, makeup-free skin and discuss medications and medical history.
